Cambodia turns pension programs to Asia Enterprise Law Journal
The Cambodian government has put in place a pension system that includes the four types of pensions provided for in the Social Security Act of 2019, namely old age, disability, survivors and funeral allowances. Prior to this issue, only occupational risks and health systems were enforced, as reported by law firm SokSiphana & Associates. Companies that employ one or more employees are required to register with the National Social Insurance Fund for the pension system within 30 years of the entry into force on April 3.
