HFW makes Shanghai workers | Journal of Chinese language Enterprise Law

HFW has brought on Senior Partner Brinton Scott and Of Counsel Danielle Peng, both in Shanghai.
Scott joins HFW from Winston & Strawn where he was the managing partner of that Shanghai law firm. Previously, he was Managing Partner in Shanghai and Head of the China Practice at Barlow Lyde & Gilbert (now Clyde & Co).
After about 25 years in China, Scott advises large multinational corporations and mutual funds on corporate law matters such as M&A, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), joint ventures, restructuring, investigations and white-collar crime, employment, intellectual property and technology with experience in various sectors such as insurance, aviation, Retail, healthcare and automotive.
Prior to HFW, Peng was Legal Senior Director, Asia Pacific at Cooper Standard, a US manufacturer of vehicle systems and components, where she led the company’s legal affairs in China, South Korea, India, Japan and Singapore.
Peng advises multinational companies on cross-border M&A and FDI, including due diligence, transaction structuring and drafting and negotiating acquisition agreements, as well as general corporate, compliance, government and regulatory matters in China.
