Law360 (Aug. 26, 2021, 8:58 p.m. EDT) – A Missouri law firm filed Thursday with a Florida court to order timeshare firm Bluegreen Vacations’ lawsuit against the law firm, calling it a bogus lawsuit filed with no basis and is causing serious damage to the company.
In a Zoom hearing before U.S. Judge Alicia Otazo Reyes, lawyers from Montgomery & Newcomb LLC pleaded for an injunction to set Bluegreen’s claims, saying the bogus lawsuits from Bluegreen and other timeshare companies, namely Wyndham Vacation Ownership Inc, Spending resources on defense and skyrocketing premiums on malpractice insurance.
