M.Aples Group has announced new leadership positions for its practice groups across the region, including the appointment of Singapore-based partner Michael Gagie as regional managing partner for Asia and head of Asia finance practice.
Maples also appointed Hong Kong-based partners Matt Roberts and John Trehey to lead its Asian corporate practice and head of its Asian dispute resolution and bankruptcy practice.
Meanwhile, partners Ann Ng in Singapore and Anthony Webster in Hong Kong will jointly lead the Asian fund and investment management practice.
Gagie has a deep understanding of the Asian market and has held a variety of leadership roles in the law firm’s offices in Hong Kong and Singapore over the past decade. Gagie and the newly appointed heads of the Asia Practice Group will continue to work with the company’s fund and fiduciary operations in the region.
The firm’s global managing partner, Jonathan Green, based in the Cayman Islands, said the new leadership would bring lawyers and professionals closer together to provide the most efficient service to clients.
“We are committed to continuing to provide the easiest, most convenient, and accessible leading legal, fund and fiduciary services to Maples Group’s customers in Asia,” said Green.
